Refund policy

Returns

Regular priced, unused/unworn items can be returned for a full refund up to 14 days of your shipment being received. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return items to Buckeye Surf. To qualify for a refund items must meet the following criteria:

  • Items must have been purchased at regular price. Items sold between 10 - 30% off cannot be returned for a refund, but they can be returned for an exchange or store credit. 
  • Items must be in new & unused condition with sales tags, stickers, and packaging still intact.
  • Items cannot be returned for a greater discount. However we will price match items that are being sold at a greater discount from another Canadian retailer up to 7 days from the time you place your order. If you have placed an order with Buckeye Surf and are eligible for a price match credit, please screen capture the competitors price with a time stamp in the photo and email it to support@buckeyesurf.com. If we deem this to qualify for a price match we will issue you a store credit for the difference in value. 

 

Exchanges

 If you purchase an item and decide you need a different size, colour, or style, please contact us at support@buckeyesurf.com to notify us of the exchange. If you are concerned about the replacement item being sold out before we get back to you, you can place a new order for the replacement item. Once we have received the returned item we will refund the original order in full. If you require assistance with sizing and fit of the replacement item it is best to call us at (855)738-9283. 

  • Buckeye Surf must be notified of the exchange request within 14 days of the delivery of your order. 
  • Exchanges follow the same criteria as returns as prescribed in the section above. 

 

Holiday & Christmas Return / Exchange Policies: 

  • Items purchased between November 1st and December 24th as Christmas or Holiday gifts are subject to a different return timeline.
  • The 14 day return/exchange threshold will begin on December 25th, meaning any requests to return or exchange these items purchased as a gift must addressed by January 7th. 
  • The same rules then apply to the return or exchange as in the previous section.


Warranty Items:

Most of the items we sell come with a 1 year manufacturer warrant that begins from the date you purchase the item. Here are some important things to know about your product's warranty:

  • In most cases you do not have to register the item for warranty yourself. The invoice from your purchase will be used to determine the date of purchase, and prove that you purchased the item from a Canadian authorized dealer. In very few instances, the item you purchase may require you to register the item with the manufacturer in order to claim a warranty. It is always a good idea to read any owners manual or documents provided with the item. 
  • In order to claim a warranty please take a photo of the damaged product and email support@buckeyesurf.com. Please provide a short description of the nature of the damage to the item, the model and size of the item (if applicable) and an order number and date of purchase if possible.
  • We will respond to the inquiry to let you know if we need additional information, pictures, or if we require the product to be returned for inspection.
  • Physical damage, such as dings, scratches, or anything that involves the product being dropped or misused do not qualify for warranty and the product will not be replaced by Buckeye Surf or the manufacturer. 
  • Warranty items are not eligible for a refund. If Buckeye Surf or the manufacturer do not have stock to replace the item, you will be issued a credit towards a replacement item from the same manufacturer. 

 

Process to Return or Exchange Items: 

  • Contact us for a return authorization number (RA#). No refunds or exchanges will be permitted without a valid RA# issued by Buckeye Surf.
  • Send the unused product back to use insured for the full value using the shipper of your choice. 
  • Customers are responsible for all return and exchange shipping costs.
  • Upon receiving the returned item(s), Buckeye Surf will review the condition of the items to ensure it can be resold as new. Once that is complete we will issue the refund, store credit, or exchange the items.
