Shipping policy

We offer FREE SHIPPING to most Canadian addresses for almost all of the products that we sell. 

Free Shipping Requirements: 

  • Free shipping applies to in stock items shipping out of our Ontario warehouse.
  • Orders must be a minimum of $99 (before tax), after all discounts and coupons are applied to qualify for free shipping.
  • Purolator Ground is the only shipping method we offer on orders that qualify for free shipping. If you wish to expedite your shipment, other options are available at checkout for an additional cost. 
  • Free shipping does not apply to oversized items, or to areas that Purolator deems "beyond" destinations (remote areas).

 

Flat Rate Shipping (Orders under $99):

  • For orders under $99 which do not qualify for free shipping, we offer $10 flat rate shipping to most places in Canada. This applies to clothing, life jackets, tumblers & drinkware, and other lesser value items. These shipments must weigh less than 5lbs and be under 20" to qualify. All other shipping restrictions match those listed in the section above (beyond destinations). 

 

International Shipping: Currently we are only offering shipping to Canadian addresses.

 

Oversized Products & Local Delivery Options: We are not able to ship products longer than 70" or heavier than 70lbs. Therefore we are not able to ship oversized items like rigid paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, or water carpets. However, these items can be purchased online and picked up in our store. We also offer free local delivery on these items within 20km of our location. Deliveries beyond 20km, up to a maximum of 100km, are subject to a $20 flat rate fee + $2/km for any distance travelled beyond 20km. For example, if you are located 50km away and want us to deliver a Kayak, the fee would be $20 + $2*30 = $80. 

 

Instore Pick-Ups: In stock items can be picked up at our Bobcaygeon address 12 Bolton Street, Bobcaygeon ON K0M1A0. If you wish to pick your order up from our store please select "Instore Pick-Up" at checkout so we can prepare the order for pickup.

 

Shipping Times: Orders containing in-stock products placed before noon will ship out the following business day from our Ontario warehouse. Peak shipping periods may delay orders being picked and shipped an additional day. Errors with shipping addresses, or in the event billing and shipping addresses do not match may cause delays in processing your order. 

Here are some estimated shipping times from the date your order is scheduled for delivery. These estimates are provided by Purolator and are not shipping guarantees from Buckeye Surf, but are fairly accurate from our experience.

Delivery Of Your Order: When placing your order we ask that you submit a cell phone number instead of a landline. This way you will receive shipping notifications from "Purolator Your Way." This will allow you to view tracking info, customize delivery preferences, optional remote signature release, and it will provide clear next steps in the case of a missed delivery. Provided a valid email address is provided you will also receive order status updates and tracking info via email. 

 

Partial Order Delivery: At times the shipping company may deliver orders with multiple items (and multiple boxes) separately. This is normally due to one box being considered a "bulk item" like a wakeboard, but the second item is a regular sized item like the boots. From our experience if this happens the second package will arrive the next business day. Please contact us for additional assistance if an order has been partially delivered and you have waited more than 2 business days for the balance of the order to be delivered. 

 

Lost or Stolen Items: We attempt to prevent delivered packages from being stolen from your home by making the default selection for shipping "signature required." Once we have scheduled your shipment you will receive a text or email notification from "Purolator Your Way" giving you the option to change this selection to "No Signature Required." This means the delivery driver will leave the package at your address without collecting a signature, which is convenient if you live in a safe quiet neighborhood. However, if you select no signature required Purolator will not offer any insurance coverage for the value of the delivered items, and Buckeye Surf will not take responsibility for missing items that have been delivered. 

If a package is presumed lost in shipping, it must be reported to Buckeye Surf within 5 business days of its expected delivery date. Buckeye Surf will then work with Purolator on finding the package. We can not issue a refund for the missing item until Purolator has completed their investigation, as often times the package will be found and delivered to the destination at a later date. If more than 30 has gone by before the package is found and delivered, and the item is no longer wanted, Buckeye Surf will pay the return shipping on the item and issue a refund or credit once the package arrives back to us.  

 

Damaged Shipments: If you receive any product that has been damaged in shipping please take a picture of the box damage as it was delivered. If the driver is still present when you notice the shipping damage, have them note the damage to the box and open the box and inspect the product while the driver is still there. Afterwards, please contact us immediately. It is important that you do not discard the damaged packaging as this will be needed to claim the shipping damage. We will have the shipment carrier pick up the damaged package and we will send out a replacement when the damaged item has been received back at our warehouse. All damage claims must be reported within 5 business days of the products being delivered to you.
